From 1987 to 2003, I served as Senior Art Director and Director of Publications (International) for the US Chess Federation, leading the creative direction of major national publications including Chess Life (120,000 circulation), the US Chess Catalog (250,000 circulation), and Schoolmates Magazine (72,000 circulation), including:

●Managed a 15+ person editorial, art, and production team, directed high-profile photo shoots, and creative designed and produced all print materials monthly.

●Cultivated media partnerships with organizations and figures such as the New York Yankees, Giants, and Knicks, as well as Will Smith, Ray Charles, Sting, and WIllie Nelson, Sandra Bullock, Jeopardy.

●My role also encompassed oversight of catalogs, merchandise, national event production, and the development of the federation’s historic archives.

●Honored with the International Cramer Award for Chess Journalism.
