As President and Board Member of the Plattekill Historical Preservation Society (preserving the history of Southern Ulster County - (including Clintondale, Ardonia, Modena, New Hurley, Plattekill, Outskirts of Gardiner, Highland, New Paltz Wallkill and Walkway Over the Hudson)

●I am proud to lead our dedicated team in preserving and sharing the rich heritage of our community for current and future generations.

●Since our founding in 2000, we’ve been committed to collecting and safeguarding artifacts, records, photographs, and stories that document Plattekill’s unique past, from its early settlement through today. We host engaging monthly local speaker series and educational programs that bring history to life and invite community members to explore subjects ranging from indigenous culture to regional heritage.

●Our historic Grange building not only houses our archives and exhibitions but also features an upstairs theater and gallery space where we present performances, talks, and special events like the Deborah Hanlon Gallery, blending arts and history in a truly community-centered venue.

●In addition to these events, we design and publish books and historical resources that deepen public appreciation for Plattekill’s story and help ensure that the voices of the past continue to resonate today.
