When items are donated to the museum—whether artifacts, photographs, documents, framed pieces, or clothing—our historians and board members take the responsibility of preserving local history very seriously. Each donation is carefully reviewed, documented, and thoughtfully displayed to honor its historical significance and ensure its long-term care. The ever-changing exhibits and theater reflect this commitment, offering visitors fresh and engaging ways to experience Plattekill’s past. Looking ahead, we are working to make the theater handicap accessible, allowing more inclusive cultural gatherings and ensuring that everyone in the community can fully participate in and enjoy these shared historical and cultural experiences.
