The World Peace Sanctuary, the United States headquarters of the global Peace Pole movement, is located in Dutchess County in Wassaic, New York, and is the largest Peace Sanctuary in the world. Serving as an international center for peace-building and ceremonial expression, the Sanctuary hosts the creation of Peace Poles that are sent to communities around the globe, while also implementing Peace Pole dedications, peace ceremonies, and World Peace Flag Ceremonies. In addition, the World Peace Sanctuary is home to the Peace Art Exhibition and related events, all centered around the universal message and prayer, May Peace Prevail on Earth, offering a place where shared intention, creativity, and community action come together in service to global peace.

In addition to the World Peace Sanctuary in the United States, two other Peace Sanctuaries anchor this global movement: the Mount Fuji World Peace Sanctuary in Japan and the World Peace Sanctuary in Dumfries, Scotland. Together, these sanctuaries form an international network dedicated to advancing peace through education, ceremony, and community engagement. The World Peace Sanctuary operates as a non-governmental organization (NGO) affiliated with the United Nations, aligning its mission with the UN’s commitment to peace, cooperation, and human dignity. In a world facing ongoing conflict and division, these sanctuaries stand as living reminders of our shared responsibility to uplift the universal prayer—May Peace Prevail on Earth—now more than ever.
