The World Peace Sanctuary in Wassaic, New York was one of only three World Peace Sanctuaries in the world, alongside Mount Fuji in Japan and Dumfries, Scotland. As part of the global World Peace mission, the Sanctuary was dedicated to spreading the message of peace through meaningful community engagement. Each year, it hosted the Imagine Peace Festival, a joyful and peaceful gathering that brought people together from across the Hudson Valley. Through community events, Peace Poles and Peace Pole Dedications, Flag Ceremonies, Peace Pals Art Exhibitions, and many other initiatives, the World Peace Sanctuary inspired unity, creativity, and a shared commitment to peace at the local and global level.
