I Love My Parks Day (A state wide day held in each park across New York State) this is a meaningful day for not only the NYS Parks employees, Friends of the Walkway staff and the wonderful ambassadors. It is also a meaningful opportunity for me to connect with the community and support the parks we care about. I worked alongside our staff team, tabling at community events throughout the region to share information, engage with visitors, and build lasting connections. I also participated in each I Love My Parks Day, joining volunteers and partners in stewardship activities that celebrated and protected these special places. These events encouraged people to get involved, give back, and deepen their appreciation for the parks that bring our communities together.
Speaking of communities the Walkway also became involved with chamber and community events throughout the Hudson Valley.
