Peoples Place has a long and meaningful history of serving Ulster County, growing from a small community-based organization into a cornerstone of support for individuals and families in need. Under the leadership of Executive Director Christine Hein, the organization has expanded significantly, now offering 24 programs that address a wide range of community needs, including a Wellness and Improvement Center, Thrift Shop, Food Pantry, and many more vital services. This thoughtful and sustained growth reflects Peoples Place’s deep commitment to meeting people where they are and adapting to the evolving needs of the community. As programs continue to expand, so do community events and ribbon cuttings, each one marking another step forward in the organization’s ongoing mission to assist, uplift, and strengthen lives throughout Ulster County.
