Project Santa Telethon

Some of your favorite people are coming together for the People’s Place Virtual Telethon that happens annually in July, inviting everyone to safely social distance while still enjoying each other’s company! The day-long telethon features has an incredible lineup each year -some of the wonderful santas included Tommy Keegan, Nadine Fescoe Ferraro, Christine Hein, Anna Brett, Mike Rice, Brandy Walters, Josie Pheen, Bill Calderara, Maria Cabrera, Juli Colotti, Vicki Howland, Tim Hunter, Karen Clark Adin, Keith Joseph Bennett, Jess Vinsick Davis, Jonathan Beever, Deborah Lawyer Crump, and many more, all sharing their time and talents. Viewers can enjoy a full day of singing, trivia, cooking, cocktails, and learning more about Peoples Place programs, all while supporting a vital mission. A highlight of the fun was “Save Santa Off the Roof,” where Santas — representing strong community members dressed in full Santa garb—perched on hot roofs until donations helped cool them off with an ice cream or even a pool, while hardworking elves hit the streets with donation buckets in hand. Truly proving it takes a village, the event was supported behind the scenes by Jami Anson, who assisted as needed and captured the day through photography.
