An original artistic lighthouse piece was created for the Saugerties Lighthouse Auction, drawing inspiration from the intricate mosaic walls of Madrid and reflecting the vibrant spirit of An Evening in Madrid. Designed as both a visual statement and a promotional centerpiece, the lighthouse was displayed throughout the summer, helping build excitement and awareness for the upcoming gala. The piece earned top honors at the art auction and was sold for the second-highest amount of the event, underscoring its artistic and community value. Created and designed by Jami L. Anson with creative assistance from Heidi Haddard, the project also served as a meaningful, hands-on activity for participants in the Always There Adult Day Program, blending artistic expression with engagement and purpose while celebrating culture, creativity, and community connection.
